i'm wondering if anyone knows if this is 100% safe of not (with or without modchip)since it is far more vulnerable than the PSP. & by 100% i mean no possibility of bricking whatsoever during the update

Well using the wiikey and having updated to the latest nintend firmware and still playing games. I would say it works. As long as you do the update from your region. meaning if you have an american wii you only do updates from america.l..

there's one called infectus but being the ps3 a tough to crack system it doesn't do much

back on topic when i was updating with MP3 the power almost went out luckily the update was successful . but now i know only the settings brick when updating with the same region

don't know about the 360 but you have to do it eventually with wii & ps3, the safe solution is plug your console to a battery backup while it's updating lol
