I finally found a nice little tutorial for modding a ps2 slim. The only real problem is that it costs money to buy a disc called magic swap (ps2 bootdisc) A link is provided to be able to purchase magic swap.

PStwo Mod Tutorial
I dont take credit for this, all i did was find it. All credit for this tutorial goes to Pretense from the Afterdawn.com forums.

Their are cleaner methods of doing this by purchasing a flip lid that allows the sense that you hold down to be compressed while their is a lid that opens it can be found here. It is very cheap.

Pstwo Flip Top lid

I do not know how reliable this site is but it can be found here. I tried to find it at mod-chip.com a place ive dealt with before but alas i coudldn't find it. So i just put up a link to a site i foudn it at.

Good Luck

Excuse me, is your refrigerator running?
Because if it is, it probably runs like you - very homosexually.

that doesn't require swapmagic for ps1 games.
all you need to do for ps1 games is put in any your-region ps1 game, leave the cover open, and turn it on. then the disk will spin slow, then fast, then slow again. on this slow spinning take it out while it spins and put in a burnt copy of whatever ps1 game you want.

i have not gotten this method to work on ps2 games however (using a real ps1 or ps2 game, then swapping)

uh, no.
to run anything burnt you must have it modded, or as the swapmagic does, replace the ram memory to make the ps2 think the next next (the burnt game) is a real game

You can have swap magic with the kit to hold down these points. It's called slim tool and it's free if you buy swap magic new in a store or on internet. versions 12 needs only 3 little plastic objects and don't need to be opened, but newer versions needs 4, one on the inside.
