if i was to compare it to anything, i'd say it's closer to berserk more than anything. differences is that the main protagonist is a chick, violence is toned down compared to berserk, visual gore is lower since the youkai are always cut neatly, and most especially no butt secks.
it's still cool though, although berserk is livelier.
