sorry for the double post... accidentally click on the mouse....My fav RPGs of all time would be FFIII (or VI) and Xenogears... I don't think anything beat those two... and I hate FF7.. I was so excited to play that game until they kill off Aerith after the first CD.. totally ruin the FF series for me.. haven't play any FF game after that
Ever, as in ever ever or only on one consol? >_> On the SNes my absolute favorite would probably be either Secret of Mana or Terranigma <3 probably Terranigma. God I love this game ._. *eyes his dusty snes* I guess I should play again...
On the Playstation it is Valkyrie Profile. I liked the Final Fantasy series for it too. And Suikoden <3
PS2...I'd say I need to go with Suikoden VI and Final Fantasy X and X-2...and other's i can't remember now >_>
Snes: Mario RPG, Terranigma, Lufia 1, Lufia 2, Tale of Phantasia, Romancing Saga 3, many more but aren't that great. Best of them, Tales Of Phantasia (Story&Battle System).
N64: Paper Mario.
PSX: Valkyrie Profile, Chrono Trigger (just 'cuz cinemas added more fun than the Snes version), Final Fantasy IX, Star Ocean: Second story. Best of them, Valkyrie Profile(Story&Battle System).
PS2: Star Ocean 3: 'till the end of time, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, Final Fantasy X and X-2, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Suikoden III. Best of them, Star Ocean 3 (Battle system) AND Suikoden III (Story&Battle).
GBA: Lunar Legend, Tales Of Phantasia, Fire Emblem series, Golden Sun Series. Many other but are not worth my time to mention. :/ Best of them, Tales of Phantasia(Same as above).
Overall: Suikoden Series as well as Star Ocean Series, they're all good, although some of them are better than the other ones. :]
Edit: Oh, I forgot to add that Shenmue is the best RPG game for Sega Dreamcast, been playing it lately. It's pretty good game. As well as the second one for Xbox and Dreamcast. :B
