hi,all with the WII, doing well, Xbox 360/ps3 graphics, i;m kinda lookin forward for the next gen with xbox 3 planned, being designed i was wondering wat the next gen will hav cause they can hav headsets that makes virtual reality possible, not those artari lookin things that they did in the 1990s but actual human shapes,etc.. also it would be great to see a suit that u could wear so that u feel like in ur in the game, reactin with environments,etc.. also has any else any other news on next gen gaming?
I personally think the next gen will revolve around online content. The best sellers are either sequels of great games i.e DMC4 or new MMOG. I dont think they can go that far as in virtual reality simply because it may seem TOO real. eg. The game crack down for 360. Even though its a cell shaded game, when jumping off a building to the group your heart will start being rapidly which can lead to heart attacks. So theres no real way of telling. If it gets too real, they may become dangerous but if they dont improve.. ppl will lose interest. Only time can tell
i think cost is the huge motivator here. making VR stuff is still much to costly to be a reality for home use. next gen will probably involve the usual stuff (ie. better graphics, better sound, more ram, etc.). the amount of online content will stay about the same imo because its loved greatly by many people but the reality is that every time consumers are polled about if they play games for on/offline content its a mixed bag. so long as games hold on to the most important factor they need ..being fun...we should all be happy.
ye but they gonner bring lots of new features or less people will upgrade to the next version because it would be a waste of money, not everyone can afford to go online so i;m guessing we might see another era for ninetodo to be popular then some thing like Sega would make a come back into consoles with something up their sleeves, all consoles will fall in sales because there all probably running out of ideas, Sega has had plenty of time to think about their pasts mistakes, we will get a decent SONIC game for a change.lol
