its still early in the season but i want to know your opinion on all of the 0-2 teams.
San Diego: They will bounce back. i think without LT there still a good team. They have good young backs behind LT that can get the job done and a healthy Rivers makes it even better. They lost on a last second touchdown pass in game 1 and were screwed out of a victory against Denver. That ref should be fired. When the ball comes out the back of your hand its clearly a fumble. Gotta say Mike Shannahan is a hell of a coach, going for the win instead of settling for over time. I wish Detroit had a coach like that.
Cincinnati: they look flat out horrible. offense cant do anything, defense cant do anything. i see them finishing no better than 6-10, and thats being kind about it.
Seattle: the division they're in sucks. they have had so many injuries at WR though. Branch, Engram, Burleson, and Oma something are all out, the last two named for the season. They will get better when Branch and Engram get back but i dont see them finishing better than 7-9, and thats being kind about it. Arizona is going to win that division IMO with Warner at QB.
Jacksonville: They replaced Leftwich with Garrard for a reason, because Garrard makes fewer mistakes and can stay healthy, even though he missed 4 games last year with a ankle injury. With 3(i think its 3 but I'm not to sure) of his O-line men out that task is gonna be pretty hard. And hes already matched his interception total from last year (3) in just 2 games. Though it was expected he would throw more than 3 this year and he only played in 12 games last year. The Jags will bounce back but they've got alot of competition if they want to make the wild card.
Cleveland: The first 2 games this team played were against playoff teams from last year, Dallas and Pittsburgh. Last year Dallas allowed 20.3 pts/g while Pittsburgh allowed 16.8 pts/g. Cleveland scored 25.1 pts/g last year. Anderson hasn't had much help from his top receiver, Edwards, though. Edwards already has 6 drops on the season. It gets a bit easier for Cleveland since they play Baltimore and Cincinnati before their bye week. If they're not at .500 by the time their bye comes around, they might be finished.
Miami: They look better than last year, but they're still bad. If Chad Pennington had more of an arm i think they could of easily won that first game. I don't think they will finish 1-15 again but i don't think there gonna finish better than 4-12 either. It may be a matter of time before my boy from Michigan, Chad Henne, starts. Though I would like to see him sit for a year before he goes out there.
St. Louis: The Rams are just terrible all around. They defense sucks, the offense can't score. Marc Bulger went from Pro Bowl quarterback to looking like a lost rookie. They don't have their #2 receiver right now due to a broken foot, but the offensive line is healthy again with the exception of Jake Bell who's probable. Something needs to change in St. Louis and it needs to happen quick.
Kansas City: The NFL's youngest team. Also the team that ended another Michigan mans season (Tom Brady). IMO i would stick with Damon Huard at QB over Croyle. Though they are both hurt, i don't know who KC will have under center. Which probably means they are going to run the hell out of the ball with LJ. He doesn't seem like the same running back from last year (but who would after a foot injury). Plus how old is he like 27, 28. They say when running backs get close to 30 they start to go on the decline. Its gonna be a while before this team gets back into those winning seasons its used to seeing.
Minnesota: Last off season they improved the offense by bringing in Bernard Berrian. They improved the D-line with Pro Bowler Jared Allen. They already had a good O-line and Running Backs. The secondary ranked next to last in pass defense last year but it could improve. This team has everything, except a quarterback. Jackson couldn't pass his way out of a paper bag. He threw the game ending interception against Green Bay in week 1. And how do you rack up 160+ rushing yards and still lose the game. If Jeff Garcia is truly available since it seems Jon Gruden has given up on him, they should make a move for him ASAP.
Detroit: Me being the Lions fan that I am would like to believe that Jon Kitnas prediction of a 10 win season will come true. But reality and what has happened in the past tells me to keep dreaming. 2 weeks in a row they have fallen behind 21-0 in games. We made games out of each of them. Just when you think momentum has shifted to the Lions, Kitna throws a interception and it goes right back to the Falcons. Though it doesn't help when your defense gives up 318 rushing (i started both Micheal Turner and Jerious Norwood on my fantasy teams, got over 30 out of Turner and almost 20 out of Norwood). And then the next week when Green Bay comes to town, you take the lead, then they kick a field goal. Its just like ok, drive down field, if you get a field goal, cool you have the lead by 1 once again, if you get a touchdown, you lead by 4 (pending the decision to go for 2 or to just kick the extra point). And once again, Kitna responds by throwing back to back interceptions, both which Green Bay gets points off of, and then Kitna throws another interception. Three 4th quarter interceptions in the last 5 minutes. The only thing i can say is that i can't wait for the coaching staff to bench Kitna in favor of Stanton. Though Marinelli is to Kitna like Lovie Smith was to Rex Grossman. "Hes our guy, hes our guy", when he is playing like Grossman, he clearly isn't.
I know its titled surprising 0-2 teams but i started to get into this and decided to do all 0-2 teams.
