Hey all. First off, I'm 19 and a typical 'Squall' type. Outgoing 'Rikku' types bring me out of my shell a bit, but after a while I can't keep up and feel inadequate because being outgoing doesn't come naturally. Also I find I often have little in common with them and conversations fall flat.
However, with introvert girls I can relax and be myself without floundering. There is one such girl who is almost exactly like me personality-wise (melancholic phlegmatic, for those in the know) who gives the correct interest responses when subtly prompted. I think I can see the start of a potential relationship, but I can also see both of our withdrawn natures may hinder us, particularly me. Should I ask her out? Any advice?
I personally haven't seen many lasting 'opposite' couples, but i know there are many of them out there. Have you been in one, or are in one now? Give some anecdotes. Do you believe the saying? Am I weird? What's your opinion?
it really depends on who makes you feel more comfortable for the person you are.if you have to be something your not the relationship will most likely die.it may be a person like you makes you comfortable but the relationship falls stale and you drift apart.a person different from you may bring comfort from excitement of new and different life experiences but like you said you have to be able to keep up or your left behind.
i think you should ask the girl out since nothing in life is for sure and regret last a life time.i don't believe the saying so much as i believe in probability of such a match must occur eventually.

I was in this exact (well pretty much) situation a few months ago, and I choked. But now I rarely even see her anymore to get the possible opportunity to see if what was possible, still is... If you get my drift.
So yeah, don't go regretting what could, and enjoy what should.
And btw, I also don't believe the saying, however I do know it's true in some cases.
