Well, everyone needs love in one form or another so we can fit well into our respective societies and not become sociopaths, or at least mentally unstable. That sort of thing comes from family, friends, etc. and is really important, especially in the early stages of life.
Romantic love (or as I like to call Mate-finding (yes, I'm a dork)) does start out from lust. It essentially works like "love at first sight," except you'd always think, "I wanna do her/him" instead of "I want to spend the rest of my life with her and discuss how we'll manage bank accounts and help our kids through college." I think a better phrase would be "lust at first sight."
As for the actual mate-finding, that requires more relationship building. It gets even worse when these kind of relationships fail because they're usually deeper than family and friends, and people like Bob and Allen will start assuming the worst of the opposite sex, making it harder to try again. I know. I've been there too. However, it is possible to get over that blow and find someone that really can make that connection with you.
Whoa. This post got long. Anyway, my point is that love can't be evil if we need it. Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.
love can be realistic and materialistic... it can be pure in the starting.... it became realistic when you look upon the future.... and it became materialistic when you know only love can't take you to the future....
so there is lots of thing to think about... even love have started... that is why sometime we're hurt...

Now I'm even more confused on the " Reviving a dead topic rule ".
To my understanding now if there is no reply in a month then it is a dead topic. Now Aerris gave Hectaimon a Warning for reviving the topic on Thu Oct 09 2008, 03:07PM.
The last post was Fri Sep 26 2008, 10:09PM by frosty. Which is more than a month.
Now Warlock77 removes Aerris Warning.I don't get it & this is why I don't bother with the Reviving a Dead Topic rule.

September 26th to October 9th is only 13 days - not even 2 weeks and in no way close to a month old! Now if it would've been October 26th, the warning would have stayed since that's 1 month from September 26th!
