Hey guys sorry i'm a noob I downloaded some games like brave fencer musashi and thousand arms but when i go to play them they will play about 3 or 4 minutes into the game then when the first major loading screen pops up it freezes. Does anyone know why this is happening??? i'm currently using 3.90 M33 firmware with i think 3.70 or 3.90 Popstation.

i wrote a guide a long time ago on ho to expertly configure ePSXe to perfection. If i had it now Id give it to you. hey should sticky that guide on PSX forum. Anyways, use ePSXe its an excellent emulator and im confident this will fix your problem.

If you use the default GameID it will freeze after the "Chapter 1" screen. So use one of the GameID's below.
When you do use one of these gameIDs you'll sometimes notice a little slowdown or some stuttering in voices, but at least the game works.
3.52 and below: Use GameID SLPS-01156, SLPS-01724, or SLPS-01222.
3.71 and 3.72: GameID SLPS-01156 and SLPS-01724 will work.
3.90: Only GameID SLPS-01156 will work. Also the slowdown and stuttering in voices is slightly better. EBOOT needs to be made with CDDA Popstation 1.24 (don't forget, you'll need keys.bin). Many GUIs make bad eboots...
4.01: Use GameID SLPS-01490 and the game runs perfect now!
I copied all txt above from psx/psp compatibility list (there are several sites with this info)
how do I find out what version of popstation I am using? also I got Lunar to work by just changing the name of the folder and not adding the slus number. also can anyone give me a link to get those psx emulators you were talking about????
