i was just wondering why popsloader is actually needed because im sure when i was playing psx games on the psp when the first emulator came out i didnt install it and everything ran fine whilst now i need the popsloader or it wont allow me to play any games. ps im on 3.90 m33 firmware
any help understanding why its needed is appriciated
I don't believe popsloader is needed to run PSX game backups. It's only there for compatibility issues. What it does is let you run older versions of pops on the newer firmware in case you find some games don't work like they did on the older firmware.
The playstation emulator should come pre-installed with your 3.90 M33 firmware and so you just have to place the files in the right folder. (Should be in Game folder)
