this guide's for those who don't have any luck running burned games(like myself) on their GC. Games are playable on gameplay but ingame movies have speed issues
Requirements to do this:
1.A gamecube(heard last release models work too) 2.an original game(risk crashing if you don’t) 3.a gamecube broadband adapter 4.a gamecube iso of your choice on PC(some don’t work, never tested all of them) 5.an ethernet cross over cable 6.some way for the gamecube to boot dol files 7.the files at the bottom of the post
now for the procedure:
-boot utility.dol on the gamecube, should take you to a black screen w/options & connection config -set the IP address to “192.168.001.032”(no quotes),the subnet mask to”255.255.255.0”, & default gateway to”192.168.001.100” -on the PC check your LAN connection and click properties, on that window double click “Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)” -highlight “use the following IP address:” and set the IP address to “192.168.1.100” and the subnet mask to “255.255.255.0” (the rest can stay blank) -connect your Ethernet cable to the PC & gamecube and boot s3-gcsim.dol or s3-gcsimpre.dol -on the PC open the file that comes with s3-gcsimpre.dol & open the iso you want -make sure an original game is in the gamecube’s drive & press A on CARD BYPASS A if you booted gcsim.dol or start on gcsimpre.dol & that’s it, happy playing
I tested about 15 of my isos and they worked. Very playable, think I’ll list them later
