It's possible and it's been done (me and my girlfriend). We met and hooked up online and I found out she lived about a city away from me. now me being 15 at the time I really couldn't just go out and meet her, so we just talked online alot. Then I convinced her to call me about a year later and we spoke to each other on the phone for about half a year. We set up a date at a theater that wasn't too far from her or me and we went and we met. My parents decided that we needed to move and I convinced them to move closer to that area (I didn't tell them it was for her) and so we did and now I go to school with her and we're about 2 years into our relationship and things are great.
Sorry for the story, I'm just proud to say that it's possible

hey Subliminalxx the same thing happened with me and my present girlfriend and we been together for 4 years now. we met on hi5 and chatted online for a while before we finally met.when we did meet we went to watch a movie.we didnt tel our parents how we met though as they probably wouldnt have approved of it.
I was just wondering what other people thought. I myself will never get into a long distance relationship, just because during deployments I watched marriages and relationships fall apart while people were apart. Too much of a hassle.
