Yea I have to agree with you here ... after sonic adventure 2, if felt like the sonic games were only going down hill. But even with some of the recent flops Sega still has alot of potential

I would love to see Sega make a comeback. However the Dreamcast failed for these
very reasons.

#1 The Dreamcast was brought out to early.

#2 Since it was brought out to early it wasn't as powerful as the PS2, Game Cube
& X-BOX.

#3 It couldn't take advantage of DVD like the PS2 or X-BOX because it was brought out to early.

#4 The Dreamcast controller was very annoying & hard to handle.

#5 It couldn't pick up any strong third party support.
(i.e. like Squaresoft,Konami,Capcom)

However "just about" every game Capcom brought out for the Dreamcast was already
on the Playstation.

My final point was that the Dreamcast didn't pick up enough strong third party support to make games for it.

Which is why it failed.

ya...i cant remember even one Squaresoft game for DC :S and every console has at least few of their games :S

I owned nintendo64, dreamcast, xbox, but they all gone. I have to say dreamcast is still my favorite console ever. I got a bunch of friends who own 360 and ps3, but I still dont like it. Dreamcast is like 90s to me. Anyway, Im into pc game now, so I dont like console anymore and the only game I play is COD4, lol.

And another thing why DC failed is because a lot of games from the playstation is ported to the dreamcast but not enhancing its gameplay experience, which was really a waste. They didn't take advantage of that 128-bit graphics engine. Not to mention it has I think 16mb of RAM, which is really a lot at that time.
