Due to a lot of PSX emulators our team decided to make one of our own, the one that doesn't crash & runs 98% of all the games either CD or ISO, BIN, MDS, IMG, NRG Etc. & a friendly user which you wont configure anything at all or go thru a lot of hassle just to make the thing work. we have programmed all its drivers & plugins imbeded with emulation, so it will only consume a minimum of your systems system resources.
How to Use: Just install & click everything Ok, run the program either you put a PSX CD or Browse an Iso image file then click run enjoy! [br]
It seems this emulator is based o ePSXe. Things i've found so far about it: Pros: - easy and fast to install - you don't have to configurate anything to play PSX games
Cons: - You CAN'T configurate the video plugin, and if you try, the emulator stops working... forever! You have to uninstall and install it again to work. - Here in my PC Ghost in the shell worked very slow. In my configurated ePSXe, Ghost In the Shell works better and faster.
PCs are very different nowadays so, it can work better for you than it worked for me.
I'm having a bit of trouble with Star Ocean: The Second Story, m'self...
The title screen doesn't show up completely, and none of the opening sequence seems to come in once a new game is started and Claude starts talking.
(Of course, I'm not using the default video plugin for it--my question's mainly "have you had this problem using the built-in video?")
I did manage to change and configure the video plugin no problem, though--and this one actually runs better for me in Windows than PCSX-df does in Linux on the same machine. No meth-like speedup, little if any slowdown, sound works great...
Actually, Munim, you should try using another video plugin, if that's not what you meant by being unable to configure. It seems to support the same ones as ePSXe and PCSX. Pete's OpenGL and D3D work great for all the games I've run it with but SO2...
Oh! One last thing, though, Violator: Could you see about either making the controller configuration take plugins too, or putting in a hotkey to turn analog emulation on and off? Megaman X4 doesn't seem to like analog controllers--which isn't surprising, I suppose, but it is a pain, as you can probably imagine. (Apologies if there's already one I missed, though--I was meaning more along the lines of one to which a button on the gamepad or keyboard could be mapped.)
Also, what's the name of this emulator, and does it have an official site or something of that nature? I'd like to keep tabs on it.
nidoo could you try to at least keep your responses relevant to the thread plz >_<... as far as this new emulator, I like epsxe and it's not broken so I'm not gonna fix it
