If anyone is still wondering I actually heard that the battery life isn't really reduced that much 'cause they reduced power draw from other features but that's hearsay from a sales guy at best buy. I'd still go with a 2000 until the man gets it mod-able just 'cause I'd be running more homebrew etc. If at first you dont succeed, try different ammo. 90% of teens today would die if Myspace was completely destroyed. If you are one of the 10% that would be laughing, copy and paste this to your signature.
Just to confirm, I read the same thing on other forums too, battery life should be about the same as the PSP Slim. The only drawbacks I see from the PSP Brite are those scanline crap on the LCD and being unhackable at the moment.
So yeah, for now, it's probably best to get a slim unless you don't use homebrew or just a major skype user
