I've been noticing lately that nobody is giving any respect to the Nintendo Entertainment System. I think this is sad. When I was young this gaming system was the only good memories that I have and I still do this day play it on a daliy basis. So I would like to talk about the NES. What good memories do you have about it. What games do we love, and why does it still have a place in our hearts.
For me it's about games like Dragon Warrior or Zelda. Long game play with music that every time you hear it, you have to smile. NES started the game boom.
Final Fantasy II was one of the hardest and most frustrating games I've ever played. The level up process was extremely flawed. It was still a great game. The funny thing is, that even though most of the games for NES were horrible, they were still a blast to play. The system was so experimental that you never knew what you were going to get when you put a game in. Great memories.
The NES gets respect here. The majority of it is emulation of it on other systems but none the less, respect the classics!

i used to have a lot of the cartrigde too... i forgot where did it go later.... i spend lots of my childhood on nes though... playing megaman, mario, adventure island.... lots of memory...cause we play in a group.... now i use vitualnes to play nes.... download roms, but playing along.... 桃园三结义
just play smb 3 on nes then play it on snes. The touched up graphics on snes lose the nes flicker feel! Same for snake ratlle 'n' roll on the genesis(still can't do that ridiclous ice jump for the door at the end of level 9) and others.
Ah, NES. I still remember the time my parents first bought the console and 2 games - "Ice Climber" and "Pac-Man". I was still in kindgergarden... Anyway, my favourite games were "Star Luster" (Really cool space-shooter) and "Kunio-Kun" game series (No-rules basketball, soccer, hockey,...). I still prefer some of the NES games over the PC games of today...
