This is the second game i played on ePSXe, first being Crash Bash which had none menu text similar to to that of 2nd picture. I`m using ePSXe 1.7, Plugin info comin` later
Pete`s DX6 D3D Driver 1.77 is my Main video plugin.
And nope, didnt try with PSXFin.
EDIT - while messing with plugins for a bit i discovered that all Castlevania bugs are gone with P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.18 (they are still there with Crash Bash though) but the picture isnt nearly clean like with Pete`s DX6 thingy :/

I never tried Crash Bash.
I use Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.76 as my video plug-in.
