hmmm.. i think it won't do much good for soccer in the US. Not a lot of people here watches soccer because a lot of mainstream sports networks don't even show a lot of soccer matches. It's hard to be a soccer fan if you don't get to watch soccer a lot.
is there a soccer-league in the usa? here in germany you can watch soccer for about 2 hours per weekday and about 4 to 6 hours at the week-end. and these aren't whole matches. it's just parts of them. we don't even have to get pay-tv shit. but i'm not really a fan of it. i just like watching matches between national teams.
In USA, there are MLS matches which are the equivalent of the Club teams in Europe. You have to buy the soccer channels in the USA though since not that many people are interested in soccer in the USA. There's FSC (Fox Soccer Channel), GolTV, and if in season, The MLS Channel.
